Jefferson Starship – Gold (used)

The album contains a selection of hits and notable tracks from the band's first four studio albums: Dragon Fly (1974), Red Octopus (1975), Spitfire (1976), and Earth (1978). This album captures the height of Jefferson Starship's hit-making success in the 1970s. The tracklist includes popular songs such as "Miracles," "With Your Love," "Count on Me," and "Runaway". The initial vinyl release featured edited versions of some tracks to fit the format. The original album also included a 7-inch bonus single of "Light the Sky on Fire," which was featured in the Star Wars Holiday Special. Later CD versions, such as the 1998 reissue, restored the full lengths of some edited tracks. In 2019, the album was re-released on gold vinyl for Record Store Day, including the bonus 7" single. "Gold" peaked at #20 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album features core members including Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, Marty Balin, and Craig Chaquico.
